Its early hours of the morning and I am wide awake, aching like a bugger, following a long day of organising the outside area and new craft shed for Rowantree Range.💪 We have moved 2 sheds, pulled down a chicken run and removed a fence line, relocated a flagpole, cleared brambles, tree branches and cuttings. We wrapped up the day with a huge bonfire and coffee, eventually coming indoors for some dinner at around 9pm..! 😉
My body is aching in places I had forgotten I have, but the feeling is fabulous and quite addictive..!!🤩😎 Knowing that so many of the bigger jobs are now completed, makes me eagre to get back out there tomorrow to carry on..!! 💪 Huge thanks must also go to my long suffering husband Darren,❤️ and sons present, who were dragged in to help out, as they were just passing through..!! Thank you..😍
The outdoor space is almost ready for me to continue building and creating water features and fountains, throughout the spring and summer, while the inside is coming together for stock and storage, candle making, sign making, finishing and packing. It is all slowly coming together..🤩
Learning about and organising our online presence, through social media and building the website is exciting and essential to building the Rowantree Range online, however, the physical reorganisation, getting my hands dirty, making decisions and seeing changes happen right there and then in front of me, is well worth the aches and pains that I am feeling now.💪😎
Business has changed so much, since my Dad and I, set up a company 35 years ago…🤯 We sat for hours, in our office, on the phone with a yellow pages each in front of us, cold calling potential customers, in order to get a foot in the door; then we spent days on end, driving for miles, following a huge paper map, knocking on doors and pressing the flesh, following up on our leads…!!
What hasn’t changed, however, is the actual doing..! Physically building and developing the business, the space where the creating can take place, building the machine, that will facilitate the success of Rowantree Range… That remains the same and is where I find my drive and comfort. It is familiar and safe.. it is home..❤️
